Pegasus MS842W Portable Aggregate Screener

The MS842W wheel-mounted mobile screen combines a heavy duty design with proven technology to provide high production and increased durability. The features of the MS842W include the following: end-to-end crowning, four-bearing screen, the patented folding mechanism of the conveyors, largest feed hopper size in its class, added safety with an emergency stop system. To be more specific, the end to end crowning screen boxes help with higher production and more efficient separation than comparable products. On-board stockpiling and product conveyors allow for fast set up by eliminating the need for off plant stacking conveyors. Furthermore, the MS842W is powered by a Deutz BF2011 L04l engine and an efficient hydraulic system which means low running costs. Last but not least, the tandem braked axle, reduced tail swing and country-specific light system makes the MS842W compliant with road transport regulations anywhere in the world. Interesting story: The Pegasus MS842W was once known as the SW348, manufactured by Metso in Northern Ireland. Metso made a decision to move their manufacturing facility to Finland and, at the same time, to discontinue making the SW348 and focus their efforts on their tracked screen plants. As part of their redundancy agreement with Metso, the manufacturing staff in Ireland struck a deal with Metso which allowed them to continue to make the SW348 but renaming it to the Pegasus MS842W. This brought about the birth of Irish manufacturing Services (IMS). In reality, the two machines are identical, made by the same craftsmen, and have been sold in North America and around the world for 25 years.

8' x 4' (2.4 m x 1.2 m) 4-Bearing Screen

The unique end to end crowning of the 8' x 4' (2.4 m x 1.2 m) MS842W screen box allows for higher production and more efficient separation than similarly sized flat screens.

Onboard Stockpiling Wing Conveyors

The folding mechanism of the on-board main product conveyor, like the stockpiling conveyors, also allows for fast setup and provides a sleek transport profile, added strength, and a stockpile height of 3.8 m (12'6").

Wing Conveyor Variable Speed Drive

The top screen deck wing conveyor hydraulic system allows the user to adjust the speed of the conveyor to control rollback of material providing for a safer and more efficient operation.

On-Board Product Conveyor

The folding mechanism of the on-board product conveyor allows for fast setup. It also happens to provide a compact profile for transport, added strength, and a stockpile height of 3.8 m (12'6").

Maintenance Platform

The maintenance platform on the MS842W extends across the rear portion of the screen and provides easy access to the screen panels for screen mesh replacement. To make things easier, ladders with handrails are installed on both sides of the MS842W which allow for access to the maintenance platform and to the remote screen bearing lubrication points.

Hammermill Shredder (Optional)

The optional hammermill type shredder allows for more efficient separation of materials prior to screening than more traditional knife style shredders by impacting material on manganese faced hammers. Furthermore, occasional contamination in the material (rocks, bricks, concrete) can be tolerated in the MS842W shredder.

Remote Control Tipping Grid

The optional remote control tipping grid function of the MS842W allows the operator to control the screening plant from the seat of his loader or excavator, a move which increases the operator’s efficiency and plant production.
